WELCOME!
Hey there! Welcome to my blog. Some of you may already know me because we're either friends or you're a family member of mine, but for those of you who don't know me, let me tell you a little about myself.
I'm a 28 year old Army wife and my husband, Nick, is in the United States Army. We recently moved to Vilseck, Germany but before we moved to Germany, we were stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in lovely Washington State. We spent about three and a half years there and despite the constant rain (you get used to it overtime), we enjoyed it very much.
BACKGROUND
I was born and raised in San Francisco, CA and attended college at California State University, Chico (aka Chico State). Back in 2008 during my time at Chico State, I met my husband, Nick, and so began our love story. We've had some bumps along the road but I think it's only made us stronger over time.
In the spring of 2010, Nick decided to join the Army as a combat medic. I was a little scared at first but I knew I had to support Nick's decision and stay strong. After AIT, Nick got stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA and shortly after I graduated college, I followed him and moved to Washington. A few months later we decided to get married at the local courthouse (such a military thing to do, I know) and we were finally husband and wife. And now after three years married, we are living in our new home for the next three years: Vilseck, Germany. Let the adventure begin!
RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME
2. I have a B.A. in Child Development and a minor in Psychology. I love learning about how the mind works!
3. Ever since I was a little girl, I've wanted to live in Europe. It's probably because my mom used to tell me all these stories about how she traveled endlessly throughout Europe when she was younger. And now...I GET TO LIVE IN EUROPE!
4. We have a crazy hyper Australian Shepherd named Kratos. He can be quite a handful at times but he is our little fur baby and we love him so much.
5. My dad is Mexican and my mom is Irish. And I've been told I'm the most "white" looking half Mexican out there. Ha!
6. Speaking of being Irish, I was an Irish dancer for six years. I can dance a pretty good jig for ya!
7. I'm TERRIFIED of bee's. I will run like a small child screaming at the sight of a bee. And possibly have a panic attack. No joke.
8. I love animals more than humans.
9. I'm a huge theatre nerd. I participated in theatre during high school and I love watching old musicals.
10. I freaking love Italian food. I could probably eat it for the rest of my life.
Came across your blog on the Blog Hop! I have a friend that went to Chico State as well! Looking forward to see all your European travels!
